Browsing in WebExpress

As you work in WebExpress you can browse your web site and pages just as you would a browser. It is very convenient, plus it helps test your links as you work (if they don’t work in WebExpress, they won’t work on the web). Here’s how:

Browsing with the Mouse

  • Hold down the Ctrl key as you click a hypertext link, button, etc. This replaces the document in the current window with the destination document, or in the case of a bookmark, takes you directly to it.

  • To load the destination document into a new window, hold both the Shift and Ctrl key down while your release the left mouse button.

Browsing with the Keyboard

  • Click or move the cursor into a hypertext field.

  • Press F8 to replace the document in the current window.
  • Press F9 to load the document in a new window.

When clicking into a table, you sometimes need to click twice — the first click moves the cursor into the table; the second click selects the field.
